Maruti Ertiga VXI, ZXI Automatic Discontinued; ESC, Hill Start Now Standard | V3Cars
In a surprising move, Maruti Suzuki have discontinued the VXI automatic and ZXI automatic variants of the Ertiga. Only the Ertiga ZXI+ variant is now available with an automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki have also revised the prices of the Ertiga and added new safety features as standard, including electronic stability control (ESC) and hill start assist (HSA).
Maruti Suzuki launched the Ertiga facelift earlier this year with an updated powertrain. The new powertrain also included the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki launched the Ertiga automatic in 3 variants — VXI, ZXI and ZXI+.

Currently, the Ertiga automatic is only available in a single ZXI+ variant. The automatic variants of the were Ertiga offered with features like electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist (HSA) and paddle shifters. However, Maruti Suzuki have now added ESC and HSA as standard across all variants of the Ertiga, including manual, automatic and CNG variants.
The updates come at a cost though as Maruti Suzuki have hiked the prices of the Ertiga by up to Rs. 6,000. Take a look at the old and new prices of the Ertiga.

News about Ertiga Automatic discontinued in vxi and Zxi, while only available in zxi+ is incorrect and misleading. I have confirmed with Maruti sales personnel and also those models are still available on the Arena websites for ebooking. So please clarify.
