Maruti Suzuki Alto Celebrates 45 Lakh Customers | V3Cars

The affordable Maruti Suzuki Alto has crossed the 45 lakh unit milestone, becoming India’s highest selling car. Since it’s debut in 2000, the Alto has stamped its place as one of the most popular hatchbacks in India. Read on to know more.

Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki discontinued the Alto 800 and launched the third generation Alto K10 with an updated 1.0-litre normal petrol engine. The new Alto K10 offers features such as electronic power steering, front power windows, dual airbags and antilock braking system.

The new Alto K-10 comes with 3 engine-transmission options: 

  • 1.0L normal petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission
  • 1.0L normal petrol engine with a 5-speed AMT
  • 1.0L CNG-petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission
