Lotus, the iconic British sports car manufacturer, have made their India debut with the launch of the Eletre SUV. The Lotus Eletre is an all-electric hyper SUV that is offered in 3 variants and it is available through the carmakers’ sole dealer in India – Exclusive Motors, New Delhi. Let’s take a closer look at the Lotus Eletre, including its price, specifications and performance figures.
Lotus Eletre Electric SUV Exterior And Interior
The Lotus Eletre boasts quite an aggressive front end with arrow-shaped LED DRLs and LED projector headlamps mounted lower down on the bumper. To aid aerodynamic efficiency, the Eletre gets active front grilles and air dams. Around the side, you’ll find flush-fitted door handles and air vents just behind the front wheel arches that allows the air to pass around the SUV efficiently. The blacked out pillars, the sloping roofline with winglets and a boot lip spoiler gives the Eletre a sleek appearance. The rear of the electric SUV features a connected LED taillamp setup and more vents for a smoother air flow.
In India, all variants of the Eletre ride on 22-inch, 10-spoke forged alloy wheels as standard. However, customers also get the option to chose between 20-inch and 23-inch wheels. Lotus are offering the Eletre in 6 colour options – red, green, black, yellow and 2 shades of grey.
Inside the new Lotus Eletre SUV, you’ll find a 15.1-inch landscape-oriented foldable touchscreen infotainment system that controls most of the car functions. Other feature highlights of the Eletre include a 4-zone climate control system, electronically adjustable front seats, wireless charger, air purifier, ambient lighting, and a 15-speaker sound system. Lotus say the interior is made up of recyclable materials and customers can even choose between a 4-seater and 5-seater configuration.
