2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Spied Testing In India | V3Cars
When launched in 2019, the Kia Seltos was the most feature-rich car in its segment. However, with the introduction of the 2020 Hyundai Creta facelift, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and the MG Astor, the Seltos has begun to lose its charm and therefore, sales. However, Kia are set to update the Seltos with a mild facelift to keep it fresh and competitive in the segment. Now, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has been spied testing on Indian roads.
Even though we had seen other spy shots of the Kia Seltos facelift earlier, they were mostly from the land of South Korea. This time, the spy video shows the Seltos facelift testing under heavy camouflage on Indian roads. While not a lot has been revealed in the spyshots, we tried to collect as many details as possible.

Kia Seltos Facelift Design Updates
The 2023 Seltos facelift feature the same silhouette and key design elements as the current model. However, expect some minor cosmetic changes, such as a redesigned front grille, new front and rear bumpers, new headlamps and redesigned taillights. The Seltos facelift could also get new alloy wheels. However, the test car was running on steel wheels with plastic covers.
Kia Seltos Facelift Cabin Updates
The interior layout of the 2023 Seltos could get some minor revisions. The 2023 Kia Seltos is likely to boast a long list of features, including a full-colour TFT instrument cluster from the Carens, a panoramic sunroof, more connected car features, multi-colour ambient lighting, etc.

Kia Seltos Facelift Feature Updates
We can also expect Kia to offer ADAS with the 2023 Seltos. Currently, only the MG Astor offers ADAS in this segment. Features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, branded speakers, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, 360-degree parking camera, air purifier etc. will continue to be on offer. We also expect safety features like 6 airbags, traction control, ESP etc. to be made standard to meet pcoming safety norms.
Kia Seltos Facelift Engine & Transmission
The 2023 Kia Seltos is expected to continue with the current engine options. The Seltos currently gets a 1.5L normal petrol engine, a 1.4L turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. The 1.5L normal petrol produces 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed ACMT or CVT. The 1.5L turbo-diesel engine produces 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed ACMT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.4L turbo petrol engine produces 140PS of power and 242Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Kia Seltos Facelift Expected Price & Rivals
The 2023 Seltos is likely to carry a premium over the current model. The Seltos currently retails between Rs. 10.19 lakh and Rs. 18.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Seltos will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, which is also due a facelift, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and Nissan Kicks. By the time the Seltos facelift arrives, the segment will also see new SUVs from Maruti and Toyota with a strong hybrid setup. We expect the Seltos facelift to go on sale either by the end of this year or early 2023.
