Fronx Advantanges
- Rugged Looks With 190mm Ground Clearance
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx offers a Grand Vitara-inspired front design, which gels well with the side body cladding and high-riding stance. In the flesh, the Fronx looks rugged and doesn’t feel similar to the Baleno despite having the same underpinnings. It also offers 190mm of ground clearance, making it more practical than the Baleno.
- Only Maruti With A Turbo Petrol Engine
The Fronx is currently the only Maruti Suzuki to offer a turbo petrol engine. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine comes with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Fronx also offers a 1.2L normal petrol engine with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
- Good Set Of Standard Features
The Fronx offers a long list of features that come as standard across all variants. These features include automatic climate control, tilt steering, all power windows, remote central locking, projector headlights and rear defogger.
- Feature-Loaded Top Variants
The top variant of the Fronx crossover offers features like a 360-degree parking camera, head-up display, 6 airbags, electronic stability program, paddle shifters, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, keyless entry with push-button engine start-stop and UV cut windows.
- Only Car Under Rs. 10 Lakh With All-Adjustable Headrest And 3-Point Seatbelts
The Fronx is the only car under Rs. 10 lakh to offer an adjustable headrest for the 5th passenger along with a 3-point seatbelt. Other cars in the segment and even above offer a fixed headrest and a lap belt for the middle passenger in the 2nd row.
Fronx Disadvantanges
- Missing Features
While the Fronx is a fairly-loaded crossover, you may miss features like rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, an electric sunroof and rear seat armrest.
- No CNG At Launch
The Fronx crossover doesn’t offer the option of factory-fitted CNG powertrain at launch. Maruti Suzuki may launch the Fronx CNG in a couple of months after the launch of the Fronx.
