• No Diesel Or Turbo Petrol Engine Available

  The 2022 Toyota Glanza comes with a sole 1.2L normal petrol engine. While it is very efficient, it can not match the efficiency and driveability of a diesel engine. Additionally, it also lacks a turbo petrol engine to cater to enthusiastic drivers. Both the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz offer diesel and turbo petrol engine options.

• Missing Features

  The new Glanza comes with a lot of must-have and feel-good features. However, it still lacks a couple of features like rear seat armrest, tyre pressure monitoring system, electric sunroof and rain-sensing wipers.

• No AMT Option With CNG

  As CNG cars are mostly used in the city, an automatic option makes more sense over a manual transmission. Toyota offer the Glanza CNG only with a 5-speed manual transmission whereas the petrol variants also offer the option of a 5-speed automated manual transmission.

• AMT Lacks Refinement Compared To Proper Automatics

  The Glanza comes with an automated manual transmission (AMT). While it is smooth, efficient and affordable, it doesn’t match the smoothness, refinement and quick shifting capability of a proper automatic. Both the i20 and the Altroz offer dual-clutch automatic transmission whereas the Honda Jazz comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

• Smaller Service Network Compared To Maruti Suzuki
