Updated Volkswagen Tiguan Launched With New Features | V3Cars

Volkswagen India have launched the updated Tiguan SUV in India at a price of Rs. 34.70 lakh (ex–showroom). The updated VW Tiguan features a BS6 phase-2 compliant turbo petrol engine and a couple of new features. Read on to know more about the updated Tiguan SUV.

2023 VW Tiguan Gets New Features

The updated VW Tiguan features a new dual-tone grey and beige interior instead of the older model’s all-black theme. Furthermore, the updated model also offers wireless phone charging and park assist features. The latter uses front and rear parking sensors to detect a parking spot and park the vehicle safely without any input from the driver.

2023 VW Tiguan Powertrain Details

The Tiguan continues to come with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. However, the engine now complies with BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission (RDE) standards and is also E20 fuel ready. It produces 190PS of power between 4200rpm and 6000rpm and 320Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4100rpm. The engine channels power to all 4 wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The updated petrol engine delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 13.54kmpl.

Volkswagen have launched the updated Tiguan at Rs. 34.70 lakh, which is Rs. 20,000 more than the outgoing model. The Tiguan goes up against the likes of other SUVs like the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and the Citroen C5 Aircross.
