The Mobility Expo 2025 served as a thrilling preview of the automotive landscape in India, showcasing a glimpse into the exciting cars slated for release in 2025. From cutting-edge electric vehicles and futuristic concepts to refreshed versions of current models, the expo floor buzzed with anticipation. This article dives into the most anticipated cars that were unveiled or showcased at the Auto Expo, giving you a comprehensive look at what you can expect to see on Indian roads in the current year.
1. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki showcased their first-ever EV – the e Vitara – at the Mobility Expo 2025. We expect the made-in-India e Vitara to launch in Europe and Japan before its introduction in our domestic market later this year.
The India-spec e Vitara will be offered with 2 battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh – powering an electric motor mounted on the front axle. When launched, the new e Vitara will not only rival the Tata Curvv EV and the MG ZS EV but also take on the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta EV.

2. BYD Sealion 7
BYD started accepting bookings for their latest EV – the Sealion 7 – at the Mobility Expo 2025. The BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV adopts BYD’s OceanX design language, incorporating X-shaped motifs seen on the Seal sedan. The coupe-SUV shares design elements with the Seal, including similar headlights and connected taillights, but features more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers.
BYD are offering the 2025 Sealion 7 in 2 variants – Premium and Performance. Both variants get an 82.5kWh battery pack as standard. They offer a claimed range of 567km and 542km, respectively.

JSW MG Motor India revealed the new Cyberster electric sportscar at the 2025 Mobility Expo today. The 2025 Cyberster EV will serve as MG's halo product and the brand will sell their new electric sportscar through its new premium retail chain called MG Select.
While the MG Cyberster is available in 2 variants – GT and Trophy Extended Range – with 2 powertrain options, MG are only offering the top-spec GT variant in India. The India-spec GT variant of the Cyberster gets dual electric motors and produces a combined power output of 510PS of power and 725Nm of torque. It can hit 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and the top speed is rated at 208kmph. The MG Cyberster GT variant offers a WLTP-claimed range of 443km.

5. MG M9
JSW MG Motor India also showcased the new M9 MPV at the 2025 Mobility Expo. Like the Cyberster sportscar, the 2025 M9 will be sold via MG’s new premium retail chain called MG Select. Featuring a front-motor, front-wheel-drive configuration powered by a 90kWh lithium battery, the MG M9 delivers 245PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The claimed WLTP range is 430km. Tata Motors showcased the upcoming Harrier EV in a production-ready form at the Auto Expo 2025. The Harrier EV maintains the robust design language of its diesel counterpart while incorporating distinct electric vehicle cues. Its interior too retains the spaciousness of the Harrier diesel version but introduces subtle enhancements to reflect its electric nature. Top features include 7 airbags dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, ADAS and a panoramic sunroof

7. Tata Sierra
Tata Motors showcased the Sierra with an all-new 1.5L turbo petrol engine at the 2025 Mobility Expo. We are fairly certain that the car will go on sale in 2025 and will also get a diesel engine. It’s currently not clear if it will get the same 1.5L diesel engine or the Fiat-sourced 2.0L diesel engine. The 2.0L diesel will help it better compete against the Thar Roxx but the 1.5L engine will help them minimise their dependence on other brands. This move will also help them cut costs and emissions. Being a roughly 4.3m car, a 1.5L diesel engine is fairly appropriate for a car like the Sierra.
At this Mobility Expo, Tata didn’t showcase the Sierra EV but we expect them to launch this too sometime in 2025 around the time the Sierra petrol/diesel goes on sale.

8. Skoda Superb
Skoda showcased the 2025 Superb at the Auto Expo ahead of its launch in India in 2025. Surprisingly, the Superb showcased at the Mobility Expo features a diesel engine, which Skoda India discontinued in March 2021. At the event, Skoda officials told V3Cars that the new Superb will go on sale with a petrol engine but also stated that the 2L diesel engine could return if there’s enough demand for it.
We expect Skoda India to launch the new Superb sedan after the launch of the new Kodiaq SUV. So expect a launch sometime in the second half of 2025. The 2025 Superb could cost less than the current model, which is currently being sold via the CBU route. So expect a price tag of Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of the Rs. 54 lakh Skoda are charging for the current Superb.

9. Skoda Kodiaq
Skoda also showcased the new-gen Kodiaq SUV at the Auto Expo 2025. The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is set to enter production by the end of February and go on sale soon after. The new Skoda Kodiaq 2025 will utilise the same 2L turbo-petrol engine as the outgoing model. This engine produces 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. The 2025 Kodiaq will be available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive as standard.
Additionally, Skoda could even offer it with their 2L diesel engine if there’s enough demand for it. Check out the top features, powertrains specs and other details about the 2025 Kodiaq SUV:

10. Skoda Octavia vRS
Skoda India revealed the new, India-bound 2025 Octavia RS at the Auto Expo 2025. Known for its performance, handling and sporty design, the new Octavia RS is set to return to India via the CBU route later this year.
The 2025 Octavia RS is powered by a 2L turbo-petrol engine producing 265PS of power and 370Nm of torque. It enables the Octavia RS to hit 0-100kmph in 6.4 seconds. Power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.

11. Skoda Elroq EV
Skoda India have revealed the 2025 Elroq EV at the Moibility Expo 2025. At the event, Skoda India officials told V3Cars that they could launch 1 to 3 new EVs in 2025. We expect the Elroq SUV to be one of the upcoming EVs while the Enyaq, which received a facelift recently, could be another EV bound for the Indian market this year.
The Skoda Elroq is an all-electric compact SUV that Skoda India revealed at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. While it’s already available in some international markets, its official launch in India is yet to be confirmed.
Globally, the Skoda Elroq offers 3 battery pack options with varying performance and range. The Elroq 85 variant is the most powerful and offers the longest range. Check out the Skoda Elroq’s electric motor and battery specs, features and more:

12. Kia EV6 Facelift
Kia India showcased the EV6 facelift at the Auto Expo 2025 and are currently accepting bookings ahead of its official launch in March 2025. The Kia EV6 facelift gets significant revision to its front end. The previous LED headlamps and DRLs are now replaced by sharper units, while the lower grille and front bumper are also redesigned for a refreshed appearance. New black and silver alloy wheel designs are available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes. At the rear, a sleek, full-width LED light bar adds a modern touch. The remainder of the exterior styling remains largely consistent with the pre-facelift model.
The Kia EV6 has also received a significant battery upgrade, moving from a 77.4kWh unit to a larger 84kWh pack. This change results in a range increase to 494km for the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant, a 19km improvement over the previous 475km range. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) long-range version offers 432km of range. The battery also supports ultra-fast 350kW DC charging, allowing for a 0-80% charge in just 18 minutes.
