In this November 2023 Cars Sales Analysis article, we’ll look at the total and average sales figures of the 20 top-selling cars in the last 6 months ending November 2023. We’ll also share the monthly sales figures of each of these 20 cars for the last 6 months.

June 2023 - November 2023 – Top-Selling Cars – 6-Month Total & Average

Best Performing Cars:
- Maruti Suzuki Swift: With an impressive total of 1,03,116 units and a 6-month average of 17,186 units per month, the Swift leads as the best-performing car, showcasing consistent popularity.
- Maruti Suzuki WagonR: WagonR follows closely, securing the second spot with a total of 1,00,926 units and an average of 16,821 units per month, highlighting its sustained demand.
- Maruti Nexa Baleno: Baleno, a premium offering from Nexa, demonstrates strong performance, securing the third position with a total of 97,290 units and an average of 16,215 units per month.
Worst Performing Cars:
- Mahindra XUV700: While XUV700 has reasonable sales at 7,221 units in the last 6 months, it ranks lower in comparison to other models, suggesting a need for potential marketing strategies or adjustments to meet market demands.
- Tata Tiago: Tiago falls towards the lower end, with 5,508 units in the last 6 months and an average of 7,372 units per month, indicating a relatively slower market uptake.
- Toyota Innova Crysta/HyCross: Although Innova Crysta/HyCross has a decent total of 6,910 units, it ranks lower in the context of other models, and a closer look into market dynamics may be warranted.
Segment-wise Insights:
- Compact and Subcompact Cars (Swift, WagonR, Baleno, Brezza, Nexon, Dzire, Punch, Venue, Tiago, Alto K10): These cars dominate the top positions, emphasizing the sustained popularity of smaller, fuel-efficient vehicles in the Indian market.

Brand-wise Observations:
