Tata Altroz Racer To Get 3 Variants; Variant-Wise Features | V3Cars

From a source with knowledge about the launch plans of the Tata Altroz Racer, we have learned that it’ll get 3 variants called R1, R2 and R3. Let’s now learn more about the variant wise features.

Altroz Racer R1

The base R1 variant of the Altroz Racer hot hatch looks like it’s based on the XZ variant of the regular Altroz turbo. In terms of features, it will get some new features like 4 extra airbags and a larger infotainment screen. The touchscreen screen is most likely the same as the one in the Nexon measuring at 10.25 inches. This also brings with it wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple Carplay functionality. Currently, the Altroz gets a 7-inch touchscreen with wired smartphone connectivity.

Altroz Racer R2

Among features, which aren’t available in the regular Altroz, the Racer R2 variant will get only 2 notable additions — wireless phone charger and 360-degree camera. The side cameras of the car will also serve as blind view monitoring. The R2 variant looks like it’s based on the Altroz XZ Plus S variant.

Altroz Racer R3

Finally, the top-spec R3 variant of the Altroz Racer will get only one notable feature, which isn’t available in the regular Altroz — ventilated front seats.

Head-Up Display

One of the features Tata Motors highlighted at the Bharat Mobility early in 2024 was a head-up display. Unfortunately, this feature is unlikely to come in the Altroz Racer according to source material.

Altroz Racer Colour Options

The Racer will get its catchy dual-tone exterior body colour but the base colour options are limited to 3 — grey, white and orange.

Tata Altroz Racer Engine Specs

In terms of engine specs, the source confirms that the Altroz Racer won’t get an automatic transmission at the time of launch. Initially, the car will only come with a 6-speed manual transmission with the more powerful 1.2L turbo petrol engine. This powertrain will deliver 120PS of power at 5500rpm and 170Nm of torque between 1750 and 4000rpm.

Tata Altroz Racer Launch Timeline
