Renault Introduce CNG Option Across Kwid, Triber, and Kiger Range | V3Cars

Renault India have announced the availability of government-approved CNG retrofit kits for their popular models – the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger. The CNG retrofit kits are priced at Rs 75,000 for the Kwid and Rs 79,500 for both the Triber and Kiger. These kits will be installed by authorised vendors using homologated components that meet stringent safety and performance standards.

Renault Kwid CNG, Triber CNG And Kiger CNG Launched – Variants, Prices

A 3-year warranty accompanies the CNG fitment. Renault are rolling out the CNG models in a phased manner, with the first phase focusing on 5 key states – Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra – which represent a significant portion of the market, with nationwide availability planned soon after.

Renault Kwid CNG Launched – Ex-Showroom Prices

The 2025 Kwid CNG is priced from Rs. 5.44 lakh to Rs. 6.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kwid CNG is only available with the normal petrol-manual powertrain.

Renault are yet to reveal the power, torque and mileage of the Kwid CNG. The standard Kwid, which is powered by a 1L normal petrol engine, produces 68PS of power and 91Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of 21.70kmpl with the 5-speed manual gearbox and 22kmpl with the 5-speed AMT. In terms of competition, the Kwid CNG takes on the Alto K10 CNG from Maruti Suzuki.

The Kwid CNG offers features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), reverse parking camera, hill start assist, and dual front airbags.

Renault Triber CNG – Ex-Showroom Prices

The 2025 Triber CNG is priced from Rs. 6.89 lakh to Rs. 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Kwid CNG, the Triber CNG is only available with the 1L normal petrol-manual powertrain.

Like the Kwid CNG, Renault have not revealed the power, torque and mileage of the Triber CNG. The standard Triber, which is powered by a 1L normal petrol engine, produces 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of 18.40kmpl with the 5-speed manual gearbox and 18.30kmpl with the 5-speed AMT. 

The Triber CNG offers features such as an 7-inch digital driver’s display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), reverse parking camera, hill start assist, front and side front airbags, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat.

The 2025 Kiger CNG is priced from Rs. 6.89 lakh to Rs. 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Triber CNG, the Kiger CNG is only available with the 1L normal petrol-manual powertrain.

Like the Kwid CNG, Renault have not revealed the power, torque and mileage of the Triber CNG. The standard Triber, which is powered by a 1L normal petrol engine, produces 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of 20.18kmpl with the 5-speed manual gearbox and 18.75kmpl with the 5-speed AMT. 

The Kiger CNG offers features such as an a digital driver’s display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, traction control as well as front and side front airbags, among others.

As you can notice, the CNG option is currently limited to models equipped with the 1.0-litre normal petrol engine and manual gearbox. This means that automatic (AMT) and turbocharged variants of these models are not eligible for the CNG conversion. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine available in some Kiger variants is also excluded. While Renault have not released official CNG power and torque figures, the CNG variants are expected to produce slightly lower output compared to their petrol counterparts. Official mileage figures for the CNG models are pending release.
