The side picture also shows the longer wheelbase of the Jimny 5-door over the Jimny 3-door that’s on sale globally. Other design elements like the tailgate-mounted spare wheel and a rear differential are also visible.

The production-spec Jimny 5-door is likely to offer round LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, front and rear locking differentials, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and rear centre armrest.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door Expected Specifications

The Jimny is likely to come with a 1.5L normal petrol engine that’s seen in the Jimny 3-door, Brezza and a slew of other Maruti Suzuki offerings. In the Jimny 3-door, this engine churns out 102PS of power and 130Nm of torque. The figures sound meek in front of the Thar with its 2.0L turbo petrol engine, producing 150PS of power and 300Nm of torque. We expect the Jimny 5-door to offer the new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission over the Jimny 3-door that continues to come with the older 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission in l global markets.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door Launch Timeline And Rivals

Maruti Suzuki are likely to showcase the Jimny 5-door at the 2023 Auto Expo whereas its launch could take place soon after the show. The Jimny 5-door will face stiff competition from the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door and Force Gurkha 5-door.
