Next-Gen Hyundai Verna Spotted Again — ADAS Sensor Visible | V3Cars

The new-gen Verna has been spotted on test again and the new images confirm the presence of an ADAS sensor. The new Verna is likely to offer a full suite of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. The new pictures also reveal the machine-cut alloy wheels of the new Verna.

Next-Gen Verna Spied Again — Details

The new-gen Verna is undergoing extensive testing on our roads ahead of its early 2023 launch. The new images reveal the front profile of the new Verna. Even though it's wrapped in camouflage, the ADAS sensor positioned in the centre of the bumper is clearly visible. Currently, the Tucson is the only Hyundai Model in India to offer ADAS in India. Moving forward, other offerings from the Hyundai stable, such as the Creta, Alcazar and Verna, could also offer ADAS features.

The ADAS in the new Verna could offer the following features:

- Auto emergency braking

- Lane keeping assist

- Adaptive cruise control

- Blind spot monitoring

- Blind spot detection

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna — Design Details

In terms of design, the leaked images revealed a few key elements of the new Verna. Firstly, it will get a hunkered down front end with split LED headlights that flank the large signature Hyundai grille. Around the side, the new Verna will get machine-cut alloy wheels and a chrome garnish below the window line with a knurled finish towards the end. At the rear, the new Verna will get connected LED tail lights with the ‘VERNA’ lettering positioned in the middle of the lightbar.

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna — Powertrain Details

We are yet to receive any details about the 2023 Hyundai Verna’s powertrain options. However, we expect the new Verna to continue offering both petrol and diesel engine options as well as a new mild hybrid system. A few reports suggest that the new Verna will come with a 1.5L petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines along with a mild-hybrid system and brake energy regeneration. This step could be an attempt to comply with upcoming CAFE-II emission norms in the country.

Next-Gen Hyundai Verna — Launch Timeline And Rivals

The next-gen Hyundai Verna is likely to make its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo while its launch could take place in early-2023. The new-gen Verna will go up against the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus.
