A few images of the 2023 MG Hector Plus facelift have surfaced on the internet. The car was spotted in a parking lot and was decked in camouflage. The Hector Plus facelift is likely to borrow design and feature changes from the 2023 Hector facelift, which will likely go on sale early next month.

2023 MG Hector Plus Facelift — Design

The 2023 Hector Plus facelift will feature redesigned front and rear design. At the front, the new Hector Plus will get a larger chrome grille with a diamond mesh pattern and updated headlamps and fog lamps.

There are no changes to the side profile of the spied SUV. The spied car was wearing the same alloy wheels as the current Hector Plus. However, we can expect a new set of alloy wheels when the SUv goes on sale. The rear could get a taillight connector as seen in the leaked images of the 2023 Hector facelift.

The spy images showed the rear captain seats of the car in brown upholstery, which means it was the 6-seater version of the Hector Plus. The facelift will likely continue with the option of 6-seater and 7-seater options.

The Hector Plus will likely get the 14-inch vertically-positioned touchscreen infotainment system and full-colour LCD instrument cluster. Other features could include ambient lighting, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a newly-designed gear shifter etc. The Hector Plus will most likely get advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) as well.

2023 MG Hector Plus Facelift — Powertrain

In terms of engine options, the new Hector Plus is likely to come with the same 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel powertrains as the current model. The 1.5L turbo petrol is likely to retain its manual, manual-hybrid and CVT-automatic options. Currently, the MG Hector Plus with the 2.0L diesel engine only gets a 6-speed manual transmission.

2023 MG Hector Plus Facelift — Launch Timeline And Rivals

MG plan to officially unveil the 2023 Hector facelift early next month, that is, January 2023. It is likely to go on sale towards the end of the month. We expect MG to launch the 2023 Hector Plus facelift a few months after the launch of the Hector facelift.
