2024 Renault Duster Images Leaked Ahead Of Debut | V3Cars

Ahead of the new Renault Duster’s debut on November 29, a video of the SUV has leaked online, giving us a preview of what to expect from the upcoming C-segment SUV. The new 2024 Duster is set to be unveiled in Portugal and here, we take a look at the screen grabs from the video to see what’s changed over the older model.

Renault Duster Images Leaked

As we’ve reported before, the new Renault Duster takes design inspiration from the Bigster concept SUV. Previous spy shots and leaked patent images suggested the new Duster could get a flat bonnet and the latest video confirms the same. Up front, the new Duster features a slim upper grille with rectangular elements that connect the Y-shaped LED headlamps at either ends. The bumper features an air dam surrounded by dark sliver skid plate and it also gets vents placed at either ends, which could aid aerodynamics and cool the front brakes.

Around the side, the new Duster gets 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels and black plastic cladding on the lower edges of the front and rear doors. The rear quarter glass retains the same shape as its predecessor while the B- and C-pillars gets a black wrap. The rear haunches, meanwhile, do not bulge out as much as on the first-gen Duster that was offered in India.

At the rear, the 2024 Duster’s patent images reveal Y-shaped LED tail lamps and there are no connecting LED strips or reflectors to be found here. The roof rails and the roof-mounted spoiler give the new Duster a rugged yet sporty appeal.

Reports suggest that the new Renault Duster could offer the option of 5- and 7-seats. We expect the Duster 5-seater to compete in the C-segment while the Duster 7-seater could get an extended wheelbase, which could potentially place it in the D1-SUV segment that is currently home to the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 7-seater.

New-Gen Renault Duster Interiors And Features

The latest video of the new Duster that leaked online does not showcase the interior of the 2024 Duster. However, in the European market, the Duster is sold under the Dacia brand at an affordable price point. Consequently, the current model sold in Europe only offers essential features, such as a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic air conditioning. However, as the new Duster will compete with the Hyundai Creta and other C-segment SUVs in the Indian market, we expect it to be fully equipped with all the desirable features expected from a C-segment SUV. Therefore, the India-spec 2024 Duster could feature a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree parking camera, and an electronically-adjustable driver seat.

2024 Renault Duster Expected Powertrain Details

In terms of powertrain, we expect the next-gen Duster to come with petrol engine options. Renault could continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol engine and 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that were on offer with the old Duster. Additionally, since Renault are testing the Arkana hybrid on Indian roads, they could also consider a strong hybrid powertrain for their future products, including the Duster, to take on the strong hybrid variants of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The 3rd-gen Duster SUV could make its India debut in 2025. It will rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Apart from the Duster, Renault also plan to launch another SUV based on the CMF-B platform and a small electric hatchback in India. You can read more about them by clicking the link below.
