MG Cyberster Electric Sportscar Teased – To Debut In January 2025 | V3Cars

MG Motor India have teased their first-ever electric sports car – the Cyberster – ahead of its official debut at the Auto Expo 2025 in January next year. MG will sell its new electric sportscar, the Cyberster, through its brand new retail chain called MG Select. Check out the design, powertrain specs and expected price of the 2025 Cyberster below.

2025 MG Cyberster Design – Gets Electric Scissor Doors!

The 2025 MG Cyberster boasts a stunning design with a low bonnet, sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs and a split air intake up front. The rear end, meanwhile, features arrow-shaped tail lamps with a connecting light bar above it.

MG have also equipped the Cyberster EV with electric scissor doors that can open and close in 5 seconds with just the touch of a button. The scissor doors are equipped with built-in radar sensors that can detect obstacles or obstructions in the vicinity of the doors as they open and close. This is crucial to prevent accidental damage to the car or surrounding objects.

2025 MG Cyberster Features – Screens Galore

The 2025 MG Cyberster features 3 digital screens on the inside, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch driver’s information display to give the driver all the information they need. The Cyberster also offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, electrically-adjustable seat and a premium Bose surround system.

In terms of safety, the MG Cyberster is equipped with multiple airbags, a 360-degree surround view camera, and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). It also gets ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), auto hold, and more.

2025 MG Cyberster Powertrain Specs

In global markets, the MG Cyberster is offered in 2 variants – GT and Trophy Extended Range – with 2 powertrain options. 

The GT variant gets dual electric motors and produces a combined power output of 510PS of power and 725Nm of torque. It can hit 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and the top speed is rated at 200kmph. The MG Cuberster GT offers a WLTP-claimed range of 443km. 

The Trophy Extended Range is offered with a rear electric motor and produces 340PS of power and 475Nm of torque. This variant is slower to 100kmph, with a claimed time of 5.2 seconds. The top speed of the Cyberster Trophy Extended Range is 195kmph and MG claim a range of 507km on a full charge.

Both variants of the MG Cyberster come with a 77kWh battery pack with a 11kW on-board charger. MG claim both variants can charge from 10-80% in just 38 minutes using a DC fast charger.

2025 MG Cyberster Expected Prices

Based on our calculations, we expect the MG Cyberster to cost around Rs. 99.90 lakh (ex-showroom) when launched in India. It will have no direct rivals in India but can be considered as an electric alternative to the BMW Z4 convertible sportscar.

In MG’s latest communication, the brand confirmed the 2025 Cyberster will retail through MG’s upcoming premium retail chain called MG Select. The brand says MG Select promises to redefine accessible luxury. MG plan to set up 12 MG Select dealerships across 12 cities in the country. We expect MG to share more details about MG Select in the coming weeks.
