Maruti Suzuki Swift Spotted Testing e Vitara ADAS Software | V3Cars

A completely undisguised test mule of the 2025 Swift hatchback was spotted testing on the streets of Delhi-NCR recently. The Swift seen in the spy video is an international-spec model equipped with ADAS and various other safety features that are not available in the India-spec model. We firmly believe that Maruti Suzuki are using this Swift test mule to fine tune the upcoming e Vitara electric SUV’s ADAS software. Read on to know why.

Maruti Suzuki Swift With ADAS Spied In India

Maruti Suzuki Likely Using Swift To Test e Vitara ADAS Software

The 2025 e Vitara is Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever mass-market EV in the world. At Auto Expo 2025, Maruti Suzuki officials confirmed the e Vitara will be a global car manufactured exclusively in India. Hence, it will come equipped with multiple airbags, ADAS, all-wheel disc brakes and other safety features to conform with regulatory requirements in markets such as Australia, Japan and the UK.

The locally produced Maruti Suzuki Swift too is exported to these markets. However, the export units get enhanced safety features like ADAS, all-wheel disc brakes and a 360-degree surround view camera. Maruti Suzuki have chosen not to equip the India-spec Swift with these features as the hatchback’s prices would have crossed the Rs. 10 lakh barrier, which would make it seem overpriced to the Indian car buyer. On top of all that, the new Swift has failed to set the sales chart on fire as its predecessors. So it is unlikely that Maruti Suzuki will give the current-gen Swift any additional features, which would invariably increase its price and become less attractive to the customer. Thus, we believe Maruti Suzuki are using the global-spec Swift as a test mule to fine tune the upcoming e Vitara’s ADAS software.
