More Recline Angle For Rear Bench Seat

The Jimny 3 door comes with a 22 degree recline angle for the rear seats in global markets. For the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki increased the rear seat recline angle from 22 degree to 24 degree. This should result in a more relaxed and comfortable seating position over the Jimny 3 door.

Improved Rear Knee Room And Easy Ingress & Egress

Thanks to the added wheelbase of 340mm over the 3 door version, the Jimny 5 door offers considerably more space on the inside. While the Jimny 3 door offers 730mm of space for the rear passengers, the Jimny 5 door offers 780mm of rear seat space, which is 50mm more than the 3 door model. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki have also optimised the rear seat layout and door opening area to improve ingress and egress over the Jimny 3 door.

Smaller Rear Overhang

While it may surprise you, the rear overhang of the Jimny 5 door is actually smaller than that of the Jimny 3 door. The rear overhang of the Jimny 5 door measures 584mm, which is only 1mm shy of that of the Jimny 3 door. However, despite having a smaller rear overhang, the Jimny 5 door offers a 208L boot space over the Jimny 3 door’s 85L boot space.
