Before the launch of the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki introduced a black exterior colour option for their Nexa models, including the Ignis, Baleno, XL6, Ciaz and Grand Vitara. The same colour was later introduced on Maruti’s Arena range of vehicles as well. Hence, we expect Maruti Suzuki to soon offer a black exterior colour for the Fronx as well.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Powertrain Details

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx comes with a choice of 2 engine options — 1.2L normal petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol. The 1.2L normal petrol engine of the Fronx produces 90PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 100PS of power at 5500rpm and 148Nm of torque between 2000rpm and 4500rpm. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Automatic transmission options include 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) for the 1.2L normal petrol and a 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0L turbo petrol engine. Considering that the Baleno is now available with a CNG-manual option, we could expect Maruti Nexa to offer the Fronx with the same powertrain as well.
