Mahindra Likely To Launch XUV300 Sportz On October 7 | V3Cars
Mahindra showcased the XUV300 Sportz variant at the 2020 Auto Expo. According to a new media report, Mahindra will launch the XUV300 Sportz on October 7.
The Mahindra XUV300 will soon receive an update with a tweaked front fascia, new twin peaks logo and a more powerful petrol engine. While Mahindra revealed the more-powerful 1.2L turbo petrol engine with the XUV300 Sportz, it remains to be seen whether this engine will be exclusive to the Sportz or come standard with the XUV300 range.

The updated 1.2L turbo petrol engine gets gasoline direct injection and integrated exhaust manifolds. It offers 130PS of power and 230Nm of torque, which is 20PS and 30Nm more than the current 1.2L turbo petrol engine. The new engine will come with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual transmission. We expect Mahindra to carry forward the 1.5L turbo diesel engine with the same output and transmission options.

On the inside, we expect the new XUV300 facelift’s dashboard to get a touchup. It could also offer a new touchscreen infotainment system with Mahindra’s AdrenoX connected-car tech. Mahindra could also offer new features like a digital instrument cluster and a wireless phone charger.
The Mahindra XUV300 will continue to rival other B2-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Renault Kiger. With the launch of the XUV300, Mahindra could also review the pricing with minimal increase for the top variants.
