Mahindra XUV 400 Achieves 5-Star BNCAP Crash Test Rating | V3Cars

In the recent crash test reports from Bharat NCAP, the Mahindra XUV 400 achieved full 5-star safety rating for adult as well as child safety. The XUV 400 scored 30.38 points out of 32 in adult safety while the child safety score stood at 43 out of 49.

This crash test rating is applicable to all variants of the XUV 400 even though features relevant in the event of a crash, such as front side thorax and curtain airbags aren’t standard for all XUV400 variants.

In terms of standard safety features, the XUV 400 offers the following:

  • 2x front airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Electronic stability control (ESC)
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TMPS)
  • All disc brakes
  • Front seat belt pretensioners
  • Impact sensing auto door unlock

The higher variants of the XUV 400 also get the following additional safety features:

  • 2x front side thorax airbags
  • 2x curtain airbags
  • Hill start assist (HSA)
  • Front fog lamps
  • Halogen projector headlamps
  • ISOFIX child seat anchors
  • Rear camera
  • Rear defogger
  • Rear washer wiper
