Kia India have announced a significant milestone for the Sonet, with the facelifted model crossing the 1 lakh unit sales mark within 11 months of its launch in January 2024. This achievement underscores the strong demand and customer acceptance for the 2024 Sonet facelift.

Kia Sonet Facelift Achieves 1 Lakh Sales Milestone In 11 Months

The 2024 Sonet, introduced earlier this year, boasts a refreshed design, enhanced features, and improved safety technology. It is currently available with a range of petrol and diesel engine options, including a 1.2L normal petrol engine, a 1L turbo-petrol, and a 1.5L diesel engine.

Key Factors Contributing To Kia Sonet’s Success

Strong Customer Appeal: The Sonet’s stylish design, extensive feature list, and powerful engine options have resonated strongly with Indian buyers.
Premium Features: Features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver's display, a Bose sound system, ventilated seats, and a sunroof have significantly enhanced the Sonet’s appeal.
Safety Focus: The Sonet prioritises safety with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and a comprehensive suite of ADAS features.

Kia Sonet Petrol Variants Outsell Diesel Variants

The 2024 Kia Sonet’s petrol variants continue to dominate sales, accounting for 76% of the total. Sunroof-equipped models are also highly popular, with 79% of customers opting for this feature. Automatic transmissions account for 34% of total sales, reflecting the growing demand for convenience and ease of driving.

Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, stated:

The Sonet’s success is a testament to the trust and appreciation of our customers.

He emphasised the brand’s commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering products that exceed expectations.

The Kia Sonet competes with strong rivals in the segment, including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Skoda Kylaq, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
