Kia Seltos Normal Petrol ACMT No Longer On Sale | V3Cars

The Kia Seltos 2023 recently received updated petrol and diesel engines that meet BS6 phase-2 emission norms. As part of the update, Kia now offer the Seltos diesel variants with an auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) as standard. However, the Seltos petrol variants are no longer available with the ACMT option.

Kia Seltos Petrol ACMT Discontinued

Earlier, the Kia Seltos HTK+ petrol variant was offered with the ACMT option, which was priced at Rs. 13.25 lakh (ex-showroom). With the update, Seltos petrol variants equipped with the 1.5L normal petrol engine are now available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While the petrol variants of the Seltos are no longer available with the ACMT, it is now the standard transmission option for the diesel variants.

Along with the 1.5L petrol ACMT, Kia have also delisted the 1.35L turbo petrol engine (1.4L in Kia’s speak) from their India website. The 1.35L turbo petrol engine was earlier offered with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Since the discontinuation of the turbo petrol engine, the top variants of the Seltos are now only available with the diesel engine.

Both the 1.5L normal petrol engine and 1.5L turbo diesel engines of the Kia Seltos now comply with the BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission norms. Furthermore, the 1.5L normal petrol engine is also compatible with E20 fuel. It is also worth mentioning that all powertrains of the Seltos now offer idle start/stop as standard.

The base HTE petrol manual variant of the Seltos now costs Rs. 10.89 lakh, which is Rs. 20,000 more than the outgoing model. The top-spec X Line diesel automatic variant of the Seltos now costs Rs. 19.65 lakh, which is Rs. 50,000 more than the outgoing model.
