Kia Seltos Crosses 5 Lakh Sales In 46 Months | V3Cars

The Kia Seltos has crossed the 5 lakh sales milestone within 46 of its launch, making it the fastest SUV to achieve this milestone. Read on to know more about the Kia Setlos and its future updates.

Kia Seltos 5 Lakh Sales Milestone

Launched in August 2019, the Seltos quickly became one of the most popular C-segment SUVs in the country. The Seltos crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone within 11 months of its launch. According to Kia, the Seltos continues to perform well in the country despite the launch of new C-segment SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The Seltos currently boasts an average sales figure of over 9,000 units per month.

Fast forward to August 2022, the Seltos achieved the 3 lakh sales milestone, accounting for over 60% of Kia India’s total sales. According to Kia, 58% of Seltos buyers opted for the top variants of the Seltos while the diesel variants accounted for 46% of its sales.

As of today, the Seltos contributes 55% of Kia India’s total sales and has sold over 5 lakh units, including domestic sales and exports. As of today, Kia India have exported over 1.35 lakh units of the Seltos to over 100 overseas markets, such as the Middle East, Africa, Central & South America, Mexico, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Kia Seltos Facelift Incoming

Kia India are likely to launch the updated Seltos facelift in July 2023. The updated model was spotted on test multiple times in recent months and it features several design and functional changes. The upcoming Seltos facelift is already on sale in South Korea and we expect the same set of changes to be offered in the India-spec Seltos facelift as well.
