June 2023 Cars Sales Analysis - B2-Segment SUV YoY, MoM Change, 6-Month Trend | V3Cars

In this June 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment SUVs in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales, where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment SUVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.

B2-Segment SUV June 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change

Among B2-segment SUVs, Nexon was the top-selling car with over 13,800 units sold in June 2023 compared to 14,300 in June 2022, which is a YoY drop of 3.27%.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza emerged as the top gainer in the category with a YoY growth of 140%, amongst the mass-market cars in the category. About 10,578 units of the Brezza were sold by Maruti Suzuki in June 2023 compared to just 4,404 units in June of 2022.
Citroen C3 was reported over 1,300% YoY growth in comparison analysis for June 2023
Hyundai Venue was the second top gainer in the category, with a 12.45% YoY growth in June comparison.
Renault Kiger was the top loser in June 2023 YoY comparison, with a decline of about 46% compared to June 2022. It was followed by Nissan Magnite which reported a YoY decline of 23.39%.
2 cars were discontinued over the past year:
- Honda WR-V, with reported dispatch of 599 units in June 2022.
- Toyota Urban Cruiser, with reported dispatch of 5,301 units in June 2022.
2 new cars were also introduced in the market in the B2-segment SUV category:
- Mahindra XUV400 EV, 788 units of which were dispatched in June 2023.
- Citroen EC3 EV, 124 units of which were dispatched in June 2023.

B2-Segment SUV June 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change

The Brezza, Nexon and Venue were the only cars in the category with 5-figure sales numbers in June.
Brezza was the top losing car with nearly 21% decline in MoM comparison for June
Fronx followed the Brezza with 19% drop in dispatches
Citroen C3 was the top gainer in the category, with 44% MoM growth in monthly dispatches in June 2023.
Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV400 reported a growth of 13% in MoM comparison
