Upcoming Hyundai Cars In 2024 - Creta Facelift, Ioniq 6 And More | V3Cars
Here’s a list of all upcoming Hyundai cars that are set to launch in India in 2024. Hyundai India’s upcoming cars in 2024 include a refreshed version of a popular SUV, new electric SUVs and more. For each car, we’ve also included tentative launch timelines based on our interaction with the brand as well as media reports and online rumours. Let’s begin the list with cars that are likely to launch in early 2024.
1. Hyundai Creta Facelift - January 2024
The second-generation Hyundai Creta is set to get its first major refresh since its launch in 2020. The highly anticipated mid-life cycle update of the best-selling C-segment SUV is expected to be unveiled in January 2024 and go on sale soon after. The second-gen Creta hasn’t received any major update since its launch in 2020, while its Kia cousin, the Seltos, received a facelift in 2023. The Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to retain the same engine and transmission options as the current model but will receive a couple of new features, including ADAS. When launched, it will continue to compete with C-segment SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the MG Astor. It will also have to contend with the ICE versions of the upcoming Tata Curvv coupe-SUV.

2. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift - March 2024
Hyundai are likely to launch the Alcazar facelift soon after the Creta facelift. The Alcazar is expected to get a similar design treatment as the updated Creta and retain its current engine options as well as features. When launched, it will continue to compete with 3-row SUVs like the MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari facelift. Expect the Alcazar to offer ADAS as well as a longer list of standard safety features.

3. Hyundai Ioniq 6 - April 2024
After a resounding response for the Ioniq 5, Hyundai could introduce the Ioniq 6 in India in April 2024. Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 is likely to be locally assembled in India and get a starting price tag of under Rs. 50 lakh. In global markets, the Ioniq 6 comes with a 77.4kWh battery pack connected to a single electric motor that produces 228PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The Ioniq 6 is expected to offer a claimed range of over 600km on a single charge.
4. New Hyundai Kona Electric - June 2024
The current Kona Electric on sale in India was launched in 2019 and hasn’t received any major updates since its market introduction. Meanwhile, Hyundai launched the new-generation Kona Electric in global markets in December 2022 and we could finally receive the latest version of the electric SUV in May 2024. The new Kona EV gets 2 battery pack options – 48.4kWh and 65.4kWh – and produces 155PS and 218PS of power, respectively. Hyundai claims a range of 490km on a full charge. Features include twin 12.3-inch displays for the driver and infotainment duties, a 12-inch head-up display, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, 360-degree cameras, ADAS and vehicle-2-load (V2L) compatibility.
5. Hyundai Tucson Facelift - August 2024 - Confidence: High
The Hyundai Tucson facelift made its global debut in November 2024 with minor design tweaks. Hyundai launched the current-gen Tucson in India in August 2022 and it hasn’t received any major updates since then. Hence, we could expect the carmaker to introduce the mildly updated Tucson on our shores in the second half of 2024.
Apart from a redesigned front grille, new skid plates, and revised headlamps and alloy wheels, the Tucson facelift features a new dashboard layout with 2 integrated screen for the driver and infotainment duties. It also gets a new steering wheel and all of the changes have tidied up the cabin of Hyundai’s flagship SUV in India. The India-spec Tucson facelift is expected to retain the current 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines with automatic transmission options.
6. Hyundai Creta EV - Late 2024 or Early 2025
While details of the Creta EV are scarce at the moment, test mules of the current Creta SUV equipped with an electric powertrain were spied all throughout 2023. The spy shots suggest Hyundai could either be considering the possibility of launching an electrified Creta or conducting tests for an all-new, all-electric C-SUV. Hyundai’s sister company, Kia, have revealed the EV3, which shares virtually no resemblance with the similarly sized Seltos. The Kia EV3 is expected to launch in India alongside the popular Seltos eventually. Similarly, Hyundai could launch an all-new compact electric SUV and offer it alongside the Creta ICE. The upcoming Hyundai electric SUV could offer a range of around 400km per charge and go up against the upcoming Tata Curvv EV and the Kia EV3.
