Hyundai Exter Small SUV Front Design Sketch Revealed - Green Colour Confirmed | V3Cars
Hot on the heels of the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Nexa Fronx, Hyundai have revealed the front design sketch of the 2023 Exter. In this article, we’ll take a look at the teaser sketch of the 2023 Hyundai Exter’s front design to see what details we can discover.

Here are the notable features of the Exter’s design from the sketch:
- H-shaped LED DRLs, one on each side of the car’s front
- LED projector headlamps sit lower in the front bumper
- Boxy black mid-grille surrounds the headlamp clusters
- Upper grille connects and surrounds the LED DRLs
- A number plate sits between the mid and lower grille
- There’s a faux silver skid plate with what looks like front parking sensors but are probably just cosmetic touches to add to the muscular look of the car
- The Hyundai’s H logo sits on the bonnet like it does on the new Verna
- The bonnet also looks fairly muscular with sharp creases running from the front to the rear of the bonnet
- The car also gets indicators on the side mirrors
- Black roof rails are clearly visible, which weren’t visible in the side profile outline that Hyundai recently teased (Also Read: Hyundai Exter Vs Casper - Design Comparison)
- Speaking of the side design, the rear is likely to slope downwards, as we saw in the side profile teaser
- Green colour option is pretty much confirmed for the 2023 Exter petrol
- The wheel arches appear to have boxy cutouts to further convey the SUV design of the 2023 Hyundai Exter

Hyundai Exter 2023 - Expected Launch Timeline
We’re expecting to see a full reveal of the Exter sometime in the next month — May 2023. The Exter will become the 2023’s prime car for Hyundai and we are expecting them to promote it heavily ahead of the festive season. So, we should see the car go on sale around August or September 2023. The bookings should start around May or June 2023.
Hyundai Exter - Expected Price
While earlier, we were expecting a price range of Rs. 6.50 lakh to Rs. 11.50 lakh, the fairly high prices of the Fronx shocked us. This has created a big white space in pricing to allow Hyundai to price the Exter optimistically and still come across as a value offering. Because of the high prices of the Fronx, we expect the Hyundai Exter to cost between Rs. 7.0 lakh and Rs. 12.0 lakh. Even with these prices, the Exter will have the perception of a value while maintaining a premium positioning over the Tata Punch.
