1. 2023 Elevate To Borrow Design Cues From Larger Honda SUVs

Unlike earlier Honda SUVs built for emerging markets like India and Thailand, the Elevate will be a global product. Hence, it is likely to look a lot similar to larger Honda SUVs sold in the North American market, such as the newly-unveiled Honda CR-V. The Honda Elevate will feature an upright bonnet along with sleek LED headlights and a large Honda logo on the grille. The spy shots of the rear of the SUV reveal its split tail light design, which looks similar to that of the new WR-V small SUV. Furthermore, we could also expect it to carry a few design cues from the Honda HR-V as well.

2. 2023 Elevate Likely To Offer More Tech Than The Honda City

The new Honda Elevate is likely to offer more tech and features than its sedan sibling, the Honda City. While it is likely to share the basic set of features, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with the Honda City, the Elevate SUV could also feature a bigger and better touchscreen infotainment system, which could measure up to 10 inches in size. Furthermore, since it is set to lock horns with the Creta and Seltos, we could also expect it to offer features like front ventilated seats and cabin air purifier. The official teaser for the Elevate confirmed the presence of a single-pane sunroof. However, some of the Elevate’s rivals offer panoramic sunroofs.

3. Elevate SUV To Share Underpinnings And Powertrains With Honda City

The new Honda Elevate is likely to share its platform and powertrain options with the Honda City sedan. The Honda City’s platform seems dependable and it also scored well in various crash tests. Furthermore, the Elevate could feature the City’s 1.5L normal petrol engine at launch while the 1.5L strong hybrid powertrain could join the party a little later. Like most C-segment SUVs, the Elevate won’t offer a diesel engine option.

4. First Honda SUV In India Without R-V Suffix

The Honda Elevate is set to become the first Honda SUV in India that won’t follow the Japanese carmakers’ nomenclature for SUV models. Nearly all Honda SUVs follow the R-V suffix, such as the CR-V, ZR-V, WR-V and HR-V. However, Honda have decided to drop this naming system for the Elevate SUV, likely as a fresh start.

5. Elevate SUV Likely To Launch Around Festive Season

While Honda are set to reveal the new Elevate SUV tomorrow, its launch is likely to take place around the festive season. Honda are likely to announce the prices of the Elevate around August 2023. We do not expect Honda to price the Elevate competitively, given the premium positioning of past and current Honda models. The new Elevate will rival a sea of C-segment SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Setlos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross, which will feature a 3-row seating layout, is also set to join the segment soon.
