From a trusted source, we have recently learned the ARAI-claimed mileage or fuel efficiency figures of the 2024 XUV700 petrol and diesel. At least the ARAI numbers are not as bad as we were expecting since Mahindra shy away from revealing the mileage of their SUVs — especially the ones with big engines.

Here are the ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency figures of the XUV700’s various powertrain options

The figures mentioned above are only indicative as ARAI tests cars under a laboratory-like condition at an average speed of 30kmph. The real-world mileage can vary significantly as the tests do not take into consideration factors like driving style, traffic lights, weather and road conditions. Additionally, the tests are conducted with the air conditioner switched off, and thus do not reflect real-world driving conditions.
Mahindra XUV700 Powertrain Specifications
The Mahindra XUV700 is offered with 2 engine options – a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L diesel engine. Both engines are offered with the option of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 2.2L diesel engine is available in 2 states of tune – 155PS and 185PS – with the manual transmission. The diesel engine with the lower output is reserved for the 5-seater MX variant. The 2024 Mahindra XUV700 is priced from Rs. 14.49 lakh to Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with 5-, 6- and 7-seater SUVs such as the Tata Harrier and Safari, MG Hector and Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and other Mahindra SUVs like the Scorpio N and new Thar Roxx.
