BMW 5 Series Facelift Launched At Rs 62.90 lakh | V3Cars

BMW has launched the 5 Series facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 62.90 lakh (ex-showroom India). It gets updated aesthetics and added new features.

As seen in the table above, the facelifted 5 Series is pricier by up to Rs 2.8 lakh. The carmaker has also discontinued the base-spec 530i Sport variant making the 530i M Sport the new base variant for the 5 Series.

In terms of design, the front fascia looks similar to the 6GT facelift, which went on sale in April this year. It gets new sleeker headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs flanking the wider single-piece front grille. The bumper is also redesigned and looks more elegant with a wider and sleeker air dam flanked by thick D-shaped chrome inserts. The side and rear profile look similar to the current car save for the new LED tail lamps and redesigned rear bumper. The M Sport variants look sportier with aggressive front and rear bumpers.

The cabin looks identical to the current model save for some new trims. Feature additions include the latest version of BMW’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with BMW’s latest iDrive software. It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and gesture control. Other features on offer include LED headlamps with optional Laser Light tech, BMW display key, powered tailgate, ambient lighting, 4-zone AC, electrically adjustable front seats, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, 464W Harman Kardon music system and cruise control with brake function.

Safety features on offer include front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, remote control parking, parking assistant, 7 airbags and an electronic parking brake.

Under the hood, the facelifted 5 Series gets the same engines as the pre-facelift model. It is offered with three engine options: 530i, 520d and 530d. Here are the details:
