Hyundai Ioniq 6 All-electric Coupe Sedan Revealed | V3Cars

Hyundai have extended their all-electric range with the new Ioniq 6 coupe sedan. The Ioniq 6 continues the new design language of Hyundai and marks itself as the most-slippery Hyundai with a drag coefficient of just 0.21.

The new Ioniq 6 gets a low-slung front nose with a flowing design for the side panels. Hyundai have also used wheel gap reducers to further reduce the drag. It gets all-LED headlights atop a flat blacked-out border covering the width of the front profile.

At the side, the Ioniq 6 draws some inspiration from the CLA and CLS coupes from Mercedes, with a sweeping window line. Apart from that, the side profile of the Ioniq 6 is plain and looks functional, save for the swanky alloy wheels. At the rear, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 gets a boat tail design with an integrated spoiler. Falling in line with all new age Hyundais, the Ioniq 6 also gets connected LED tail lights, a similar LED pattern earlier seen in the Ioniq 5 electric crossover.

The Ioniq 6 sits on the brand’s e-GMP platform, which stands for electric global modular platform. The same platform also underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Thanks to the skateboard platform, we expect the Ioniq 6 to offer tons of space on the inside with unique practical spaces all around. The Ioniq 6 also gets twin-connected 12-inch displays, one of which serves as a touchscreen infotainment system whereas the other falls in the vision of the driver for various driver-related data.
