5 Features Missing In The Scorpio-N That The Hyundai Alcazar Offers | V3Cars
Mahindra recently launched one of the most awaited cars of 2022, the new-gen Scorpio. Christened the Scorpio-N, it competes with other 7-seater SUVs in the D1 and D2 segments. One of the Scorpio-N’s main rival is the Hyundai Alcazar.

While the new Scorpio-N gets a lot more features than its predecessor, it still misses out on a few features compared to its competition. Here is a list of 5 features that the Mahindra Scorpio-N misses over the Hyundai Alcazar.
1. Panoramic Sunroof
The Mahindra Scorpio N is offered with a regular-sized, single pane electric sunroof whereas the Hyundai Alcazar comes with a large panoramic sunroof. Not only the Alcazar, but almost all of the Scorpio-N’s rivals get a panoramic sunroof. The reason why the Scorpio-N does not get a panoramic sunroof is likely down to the the stepped design of the roof. This design feature improves headroom for passengers in the 2nd and 3rd row.
2. Air Purifier
The Hyundai Alcazar comes with an integrated air purifier. Some other SUVs in the segment, such as the Tata Safari, also get an air purifier. On the other hand, the MG offers an air purifier as an official accessory for the Hector Plus. However, the Scorpio-N does not get an air purifier, neither as a feature nor as an accessory.

3. Ambient Lighting
The Hyundai Alcazar comes with a segment-first 64-colour ambient lighting. However, the Scorpio-N does not get any kind of ambient lighting. Ambient lighting has become a mainstream feature nowadays and improves the overall appeal of the cabin.
4. Digital Instrument Cluster
The Hyundai Alcazar was the first car in the segment to get a 10.25-inch full-colour LCD instrument cluster. The Mahindra XUV700 also gets a similar-sized instrument cluster. The Scorpio-N lacks in this department as it gets analogue speedometer and tachometer with a large multi-information display in the middle.
5. Rear Centre Console
The 6-seater version of the Hyundai Alcazar comes with a centre console. It houses a wireless charger. Passengers in the 2nd row can also access the retractable table mounted on the back of the front seat. On the other hand, Scorpio-N’s 6-seater version only gets an aircraft-like individual armrest.

Bookings for the Scorpio-N will open on July 30.
