Let’s begin with the dimensions and engine specs of the 2024 Curvv petrol and diesel.

2024 Tata Curvv Dimensions

Tata revealed the length, width, height and wheelbase of the Curvv at the Bharat Mobility Expo. So we do not expect any major changes to the dimensions of the production version of the Curvv petrol and diesel. However, our source has now confirmed the Curvv will offer a ground clearance of 208mm and a boot space capacity of 500 litres.

Tata Curvv 2024 Petrol And Diesel Engine Specs

Speaking of engine options, we expected Tata to offer the 2024 Curvv with all-new 1.2L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines as other cars in the segment also get 1.5L turbo petrol engines. Later, we learned that the Curvv will only launch with the Nexon’s old 1.2L turbo petrol engine with multi-point fuel injection (MPFI) and the new 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection (DI). This new engine produces 125PS of power and 225Nm of torque, an improvement of 5PS and 55Nm over the older 1.2L turbo petrol engine. Tata will offer both 1.2 turbo petrol engines with the choice of a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. We expect Tata Motors to offer the 1.5L turbo petrol engine at a later date.

Lastly, the Curvv will also get the same 1.5 turbo diesel engine option as the Nexon, which will make the same 115PS of power and 260Nm of torque. What has taken us by surprise, however, is Tata’s decision to offer the diesel engine with the option of 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, which is  a very rare combination that was earlier available only in Skoda and Volkswagen cars in the sub-Rs. 20 lakh space.

We still don't have any confirmation on what mileage or fuel efficiency the Curvv will deliver with these powertrains.

The most notable styling feature of the upcoming Curvv SUV is its sloping coupe roofline. Apart from this, it also gets flush door handles that are currently only available in larger D segment SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700. Apart from this, it also gets a 4-spoke steering wheel with backlit Tata logo borrowed from the 2024 Safari and Harrier SUVs.
