2024 Nissan X-Trail Unveiled Ahead Of August 1 Launch | V3Cars
Nissan India have unveiled the new X-Trail 2024 in India ahead of its launch on August 1. Now in its fourth generation, the new X-Trail will be brought to India via the CBU route and we expect Nissan to price the D1-segment SUV around the Rs. 40.0 lakh to Rs. 45.0 lakh price range where it will rival other SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner and LEgender, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian. Here’s what we know about the 2024 X-Trail ahead of its launch.
2024 Nissan X-Trail Gets A 1.5L Turbo Petrol With 12V Mild-Hybrid System
Nissan India showcased the X-Trail back in 2022 alongside the Juke and Qashqai SUVs with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor mounted at the rear axle, giving it all-wheel-drive capabilities. However, the 2024 X-Trail that was unveiled yesterday only featured the 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system that sends power to just the front wheels.
The combined system output of the new X-Trail 2024 is rated at 163PS of power and 300Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a CVT automatic transmission. Here’s how the 2024 X-Trail’s powertrain compares against the Skoda Kodiaq, the only other monocoque SUV in the segment powered by a turbo petrol engine:
