2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class India Launch Timeline
Mercedes-Benz India will launch the new E-Class in the second half of 2024. Like before, the India-spec E-Class will come with a longer wheelbase than global models. India is currently the only right-hand-drive market in the world to get the long wheelbase version of the E-Class.

At its global unveiling, Mercedes-Benz only revealed the standard wheelbase version of the E-Class. The E-Class LWB is likely to be revealed by the end of this year. Speaking of dimensional changes, the current long wheelbase E-Class sold in India offers a 140mm longer wheelbase over the standard E-Class. Mercedes-Benz also offer the E-Class LWB in China, albeit with the left-hand-drive configuration.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Exterior Details
The new E-Class takes heavy inspiration from the EQE and gets a wedge-shaped design. At the front, the new E-Class comes with a larger radiator grille with horizontal chrome slats and the 3-pointed star sitting on the bonnet. The LED headlights now seamlessly merge into the grille and offer a new LED design pattern. The tail lights, too, now offer a slimmer design along with the tri-star motif inside the clusters.
2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Interior And Features
Like the exterior, the cabin of the new E-Class is heavily inspired by the all-electric EQE sedan. The dashboard houses a total of 3 screens and the centre infotainment system is more advanced than ever. The new infotainment runs on the latest MBUX interface and incorporates music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music for a seamless experience. The optional passenger-side entertainment screen further offers streaming options along with fun games as well.

2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Powertrain Details
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers a range of electrified petrol and diesel engine options. The 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options come with a 48V mild-hybrid system as standard. Mercedes-Benz also offer plug-in hybrid powertrains with the E-Class. Thanks to a new battery, the mild hybrid system now puts out 23PS of power and 205Nm of torque. While the E-Class will only offer 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options at launch, the carmaker plans to add 6-cylinder engines in the near future, followed by more-powerful AMG variants.
