2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO To Offer Panoramic Sunroof, 7-Speaker Audio System | V3Cars

Ahead of its launch on April 29, 2024, Mahindra have released several teaser videos for the upcoming 3XO B2-segment SUV. The 2024 Mahindra 3XO is essentially the upcoming XUV300 facelift and it features extensive changes both inside and out. Furthermore, the latest teaser reveals the Mahindra 3XO’s panoramic sunroof and 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

2024 Mahindra 3XO (XUV300 Facelift) Panoramic Sunroof Teased

Currently, B2-segment SUVs like the 2024 Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet facelift and Hyundai Venue offer a single-pane sunroof in their higher variants while the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger do not offer this much sought-after feature. Mahindra are aiming to trump the Nexon, which is one of the most feature rich cars in the segment, with a panoramic sunroof. We expect Mahindra to offer this feature in the top variant only.

2024 Mahindra 3XO To Get 7-Speaker Audio System

Mahindra’s latest teaser for the 3XO confirms another new feature – a 7-speaker audio system by Harman Kardon. The 7-speaker audio system is likely to comprise 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and a subwoofer. In comparison, the 2024 Nexon’s Fearless variant offers an 8-speaker audio system that comprises 4 speakers and 4 tweeters.

The Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite offer a 6-speaker setup with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, while the Kia Sonet offers a 7-speaker Bose sound system.

Other features that were spotted on test mules of the upcoming Mahindra SUV include a dashboard lifted from the XUV400 EV, replete with a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, AdrenoX connected car technology, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, and USB Type-C outlets.

Mahindra 3XO Exterior Design Details

Mahindra have already revealed a few design highlights of the upcoming 3XO SUV. They include the hexagonal headlamp cluster with 2 projector units and fang-shaped LED daytime running lamps that takes design inspiration from Mahindra’s BE.05 electric SUV concept. Other details include Mahindra’s twin peaks badge with XUV 3XO lettering on the tailgate and connected LED tail lamps. The side profile of the updated SUV is likely to remain largely the same save for a new set of alloy wheels.

Powertrain Options For 2024 XUV 3XO

We expect the Mahindra XUV300 facelift to feature the same powertrain options as the current model. The XUV300 is currently powered by 3 engine options – a 1.2L turbo petrol with multipoint fuel injection, a 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine.

The 1.2L turbo petrol with multipoint injection offers 110PS of power and 200Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed AMT. The 1.2L turbo petrol with direct injection produces 130PS of power and 230Nm of torque and is only available with a 6-speed manual.

The 1.5L diesel engine produces 117PS of power and 300Nm of torque and comes with 2 transmission options - a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.

Launch And Rivals

The Mahindra XUV 3XO will make its global debut on April 29. It is unclear if Mahindra plan to launch the SUV and reveal its price list on the same day. For now, Mahindra have halted bookings for the current XUV300 and Mahindra’s CEO has confirmed bookings will resume with the launch of the facelift.

When launched, the Mahindra XUV 3XO will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and other sub-compact SUVs. We expect prices to range between Rs. 8.0 lakh and Rs. 15.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
