2023 Skoda Superb Sedan And Estate Spotted On Test | V3Cars
The next-generation Skoda Superb sedan and estate will debut towards the end of 2023. Before the official launch of the new Superb, both the sedan and estate versions were recently spotted undergoing winter testing. Read on to know what the latest spy shots reveal about the upcoming Skoda Superb.
2023 Skoda Superb Spotted On Test
The new images reveal the classic body silhouette of the Superb sedan and estate. Our focus will be on the sedan since we do not expect Skoda to launch the Superb Combi in India. On the design front, the Superb is likely to continue with the sleek LED headlights that flank Skoda’s signature chrome butterfly grille. Around the side, the sedan retains its sloping roofline and the spy shots also confirm its notchback-styled tailgate opening. Like the earlier Superb, expect the new sedan to offer a lot of luggage-carrying capacity.

While the images do not reveal any information about the interiors of the Superb, we expect them to offer a lot more features than before. The centre of the dashboard could host a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with the latest Skoda UI. Furthermore, other features could include powered front seats with memory and massaging function, electric sunroof, a digital driver’s display, 3-zone climate control and rear entertainment controls.
On the powertrain front, we expect the new Superb to offer a host of petrol, diesel and plug-in-hybrid engine options. The petrol engines could include a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine while the diesel option could include a 2.0L turbo diesel. The plug-in-hybrid models could make use of a 1.5L turbo petrol engine along with a large battery pack, which should give the Superb an all-electric range of around 80km on a single charge. The Indian market, on the other hand, is likely to get the 2.0L turbo petrol engine option only.

Current Superb Discontinued — New One Coming in Late 2023
The Skoda Superb is no longer on sale in the country and the carmaker has delisted the model from its brand page. Skoda will introduce the next-gen Superb in global markets later this year and the India launch will also take place in the same year. We expect the new Superb to hit our shores towards the end of 2023 and it will continue to rival the Toyota Camry Hybrid sedan.
