Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ignis Updated With Safety Features, Prices Revised | V3Cars
Maruti Suzuki have updated the Ignis with better safety features and BS6 phase-2 complaint engine. The Ignis also got a price hike. Its ex-showroom prices now start from Rs. 5.82 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.14 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Updated
With the update, the Ignis now offers safety features like electronic stability program and hill hold control as standard across all the variants. Earlier, the Ignis did not offer the aforementioned features even in its top variants.

The updated 2023 Ignis continues to come with the same 1.2L normal petrol engine. It produces 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4200rpm. You can choose between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission with this engine. With the update, the engine now complies with the BS6 phase-2 emission norms and E20 fuel.
Surprisingly, this is the only car in Maruti’s portfolio with the older 1.2L petrol engine. The Swift, WagonR, Baleno, Dzire and Swift have moved on to the 1.2L petrol engine with the dual-ject technology. These cars offer much better mileage figures while the Ignis is still stuck with 20.89kmpl.
Following are the key features of the Ignis hatchback:
- Height adjustable driver seat
- 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Auto AC
- Projector LED headlights
- LED DRLs
- LED tail lights
- 15-inch alloy wheels
- Roof rails
