2022 Volkswagen Virtus Unveiled - Pre-bookings Open | V3Cars
Volkswagen India have taken the wraps off the 2022 Virtus and also commenced pre-bookings for the mid-sized sedan. The Virtus is the longest sedan in its segment, with a length of 4,561mm. The Virtus will share its underpinnings and engine options with the Skoda Slavia.
The 2022 Volkswagen Virtus comes with a fresh new design and looks different to the Virtus sold in various global markets. The 2022 Virtus measures 4,561mm in length, 1,752mm in width, 1,507mm in height and sports a wheelbase of 2,651mm. Like the Skoda Slavia, which shares its platform with the Virtus, the VW sedan has a boot space of 521 litres. Here’s how the Virtus stacks up against the Slavia in terms of dimensions:

The Volkswagen Virtus is 20mm taller and longer than the Slavia. However, it has the same width and wheelbase as the Slavia. Volkswagen India are yet to announce the ground clearance of the 2022 Virtus. The Slavia offers a ground clearance of 179mm.

The Volkswagen Virtus will come in two visual lines — Dynamic Line and Performance Line. The Dynamic Line will get the 1.0 turbo petrol engine whereas the Performance Line will be equipped with the 1.5 turbo petrol engine. Both versions get standard features like auto headlamps, touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 16-inch wheels, an 8-speaker premium sound system, and multiple safety features.
The GT Line will differentiate itself with a black roof, black 16-inch alloy wheels, GT badging on the grille, fenders and boot, red inserts on the dashboard, red stitching on the steering wheel and seats, boot lip spoiler, aluminium pedals, and red front brake callipers.
The 2022 Volkswagen Virtus will offer features such as:

- Auto start/stop

Volkswagen India have commenced pre-bookings for the Virtus across all its dealerships and online portals. We expect Volkswagen India to reveal the prices of the 2022 Virtus in May 2022. Once launched, the 2022 Virtus will take on the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and Skoda Slavia.
