2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class India Launch On May 10 – Bookings Now Open | V3Cars

Mercedes-Benz India are all set to launch the 2022 C-Class on May 10. Bookings are currently open for existing Mercedes customers until April 30. Other prospective buyers will be able to book the new C-Class from May 1 onwards.

Mercedes-Benz revealed the new-gen C-Class – codenamed W206 – in the global markets last year. The 2022 C-Class takes inspiration from the bigger and more luxurious S-Class. The design influence is visible inside out – with sleeker LED headlights and tail lights on the outside and vertically-stacked touchscreen infotainment on the inside.

The 2022 C-Class has grown bigger in terms of dimensions. Its wheelbase has been increased by 25mm over the outgoing model. Mercedes have also made the front overhang shorter while increasing the length of the rear overhang, just like in the new S-Class.

On the inside, the 2022 C-Class gets an updated dashboard. The centre of the dash gets three circular AC vents that sit atop the vertically-stacked touchscreen. The touchscreen for infotainment measures 11.9-inches whereas the driver’s display measures 12.3-inch in size. The 2022 C-Class also gets the new three-spoke steering wheel with twin sub-spokes at either ends. It gets capacitive controls for the driver’s display and the infotainment system.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class now gets a mild-hybrid set-up with all of its powertrain options. Mercedes-Benz will offer the C-Class 200 and 300d at launch whereas the C220d will follow later. The C-Class C200 comes with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine which produces 204PS of power and 300Nm of torque. The C300d gets a 2.0L turbo diesel engine which produces 258PS of power and 400Nm of torque. All engine options come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz India will reveal the prices of the 2022 C-Class on May 10. It will go up against the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Lexus ES300h, Jaguar XE and the Volvo S60.
