Maruti Suzuki Alto Launching On August 17, 2022 | V3Cars

According to our sources, Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2022 Alto on August 17, 2022. For now it’s unclear if the new-generation Alto will also get the 1.0L engine or continue with only the 0.8L engine. The new Alto is likely to get the new and stronger Heartect platform, which can also accommodate the bigger 1.0L petrol engine.

Update - Maruti Suzuki have confirmed the launch of the Alto K10 on August 18.

Maruti Suzuki currently offer the dual-jet technology with the 1.0L and 1.2L engines and both of these engines offer outstanding official mileage figures.

If the Alto gets the 1.0L engine, then we can also expect the it to to get the AMT automatic transmission to serve the growing demand of automatic cars. On the performance front, the 0.8L engine is good for 48PS of power and 69Nm of torque. Maruti’s 1.0L normal petrol engine makes 66PS of power and 89Nm of torque.

On the design front, the new Alto will offer a curvier design with larger proportions. From the images, we can make out the added width and height, along with other design elements. These design elements include clear-lens side turn indicators and body coloured door handles. Around the back, the Alto will also feature rounded tail lights, similar to that of the Celerio.

With the updated design, we can expect the 2022 Alto to offer a modern dashboard layout and new features. The higher variant could feature a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, all 4 power windows and a rear camera.
