Mahindra Commence Bookings For The Scorpio Classic — Price Reveal On August 20 | V3Cars
Mahindra dealers have officially started taking bookings for the new Scorpio Classic. The booking amount may slightly vary from dealer to dealer. For the Scorpio Classic, Mahindra are not accepting online bookings. Since the Scorpio brand is a lot more popular in rural regions than in the metros, the lack of online booking most likely won’t affect the tally.

Mahindra have also recently started dispatching the Scorpio Classic to the dealers. So, you can check with your nearest dealer if they have the new model. The Mahindra dealerships, which have the new Scorpio Classic, are also offering test drives to let the customers gauge the new engine’s refinement and suspension improvements. Mahindra will reveal the prices of the Scorpio Classic on August 20.
On the design front, the new Scorpio Classic gets a new 6-slat grille with the Mahindra’s new twin peaks logo, bumper-mounted LED DRLs, 17-inch machined alloy wheels, and LED tail lights with vertically stacked reflectors. On the inside, it gets a bigger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, black and beige dashboard and a new steering wheel. With that being said, let’s dive deep into the details.

The new Scorpio Classic now gets the same gen-2 mHawk diesel engine, which is also available in the new Scorpio N Z2 and Z4 manual variants. This 2.2L turbo diesel engine produces 130PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 2800rpm. It comes with a sole 6-speed manual transmission with a rear-wheel-drive setup. It is worth adding that the new Scorpio Classic also gets an all-aluminium engine block that is 55kg lighter than before.

Mahindra will offer the new Scorpio Classic in two variants — S and S11. The S variant will offer both 7- and 9-seater variants whereas the S11 variant will offer either bench seating or captain chair for the middle-row passengers.
