2022 Maruti Brezza CNG Launch Soon | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki India Limited are expected to launch the Brezza CNG alongside the 2022 Brezza petrol. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is likely to drop the Vitara prefix and gain more features and updated styling. The 2022 Brezza will take on the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Venue facelift, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Kia Sonet.

2022 Maruti Brezza

The 2022 Maruti Brezza is likely to feature the same 1.5L dual-jet petrol engine seen on the new Ertiga and XL6. This powertrain will also be offered with a CNG kit in the same spec as seen in the Ertiga CNG. The Ertiga CNG produces 87PS of power at 5500rpm and 121Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The CNG option only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the petrol variants can also be had with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

In terms of design, we expect the Brezza facelift to look more striking, with updated front and rear profiles. As the spy shots suggest, the new Brezza will get sleeker twin-projector headlights, new alloy wheels and split LED tail lights. Up front, the Brezza is likely to get a slimmer chrome grille that merges seamlessly with the headlights. At the rear, we expect it to get large ‘Brezza’ lettering on the tailgate.

On the inside, the 2022 Brezza will get new-age features to keep up with the competition. A few features worth highlighting include an electric sunroof, a head-up display, 360-degree parking camera, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with telematics, paddle shifters and shark fin antenna.

As per the speculated launch timeline, the 2022 Brezza could be the first sub-compact SUV with a factory-fitted CNG powertrain. However, Tata Motors and Kia India are hot on their heels to launch the Nexon CNG and Sonet CNG respectively. It is worth noting that both the Nexon CNG and Sonet CNG will be offered with turbocharged petrol engines as compared to the Brezza’s naturally-aspirated engine.
