Hyundai Exter Vs Kia Sonet - Turbo Petrol Engine Spec Comparison (Expected)

The Sonet gets a 1.0L turbo petrol engine, which makes 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Hyundai confirmed the engine options of the Exter and a turbo petrol unit was not among the powertrains confirmed for the 2023 Exter.

Hyundai Exter Vs Kia Sonet - CNG Bi-Fuel Engine Spec Comparison (Expected)

Besides the normal petrol-manual and automatic powertrains, Hyundai also confirmed that the Exter will get the CNG bi-fuel option with a manual transmission. While the specs aren’t out yet, we expect its performance figures to align with those of the Nios CNG. So, it could make 69PS of power and 95Nm of torque while claiming to deliver mileage of around 26kmpkg when running on CNG. Meanwhile, the Sonet doesn’t get a CNG fuel option.
