Kia Seltos Facelift Vs Current Seltos — Top Changes Explained
Kia India are all set to unveil the India-spec Seltos facelift on July 4, 2023. The updated Seltos SUV was spotted on our roads without any camouflage recently, revealing the key changes over the outgoing model. Ahead of the launch of the Seltos facelift, we share the top changes it offers over the current Seltos.
Kia Seltos Facelift Vs Current Seltos — Exterior Changes
In terms of exterior design changes, the Seltos facelift offers slightly revised front and rear profiles over the current model. At the front, the Seltos facelift offers a larger grille and its LED DRLs now sit lower, intersecting the grille. It continues to get top-mounted LED headlights like the current Seltos. However, the Seltos facelift offers projector-based LED setup over the reflector-based LEDs on the current model. The front bumper looks a lot sportier than before thanks to the added curves and creases over the current Seltos.

Around the side, the only noticeable difference between the two models is the design of the alloy wheel. The new Seltos facelift offers a sportier design for the alloy wheels, which measure up to 18 inches in size in the X Line variant. At the rear, the Seltos facelift offers connected LED tail lights over the current model’s split tail light design. The GT Line variants of the Seltos facelift also offer twin exhaust ports over the current model.
Kia Seltos Facelift Vs Current Seltos Interior And Features
On the inside, the biggest difference between the 2 models is the presence of a an all-digital instrument cluster in the facelift. While the current Seltos offers a connected binnacle for instrumentation and infotainment, its instrument cluster offers a mix of digital and conventional dials. The Seltos facelift, on the other hand, offers a 10.25-inch full-colour LCD instrument cluster, which is connected to the 10.25-inch infotainment system. Furthermore, the Seltos facelift also features physical controls for the infotainment, which are missing in the current Seltos.
The new Seltos facelift is likely to offer these features over the current model:
- 10.25-inch instrument cluster
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Dual-zone climate control
- Panoramic sunroof
- Level-2 ADAS Features

Kia Seltos Facelift Vs Current Seltos Powertrains
On the powertrain front, the Seltos facelift is likely to retain the same 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.5L normal petrol engine from the current Seltos. Both engine options are likely to produce the same power and torque and also come mated to the same transmission options as the current model. Furthermore, the Seltos facelift will also offer a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that already powers the Kia Carens. In Kia’s MPV, this engine produce 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3500rpm. Kia are likely to offer this turbo-petrol engine with the choice of 2 transmissions — a 6-speed auto-clutch manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Launch Details
While the Seltos facelift is all set to debut on July 4, 2023, the carmaker is tight-lipped about its launch timeline. However, since both Kia and the Seltos celebrate their anniversary in August 2023, we think that the month of August is the perfect time to launch the Seltos facelift.
