• Impressive Dimensions, Space And Ground Clearance

  The Citroen C3 comes with impressive dimensions and a wheelbase that’s longer than even the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet. The C3 is longer than its rival, the Tata Punch, and also boasts the longest wheelbase in its segment. In addition to that, the C3 gets 180mm of ground clearance, which is impressive given that Citroen aren’t calling it an SUV. Thanks to its long wheelbase, we expect the C3 to offer good space for rear seat occupants.

• 195-Section Tyres Are Standard

  The C3 comes with 195/65 R15 tyres as standard in both the Live and Feel variants. The tyre width is impressive by segment standards. C3’s arch rival, the Punch gets 185/70/R15 tyres, save for the top Creative variant. Other rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Tata Tiago NRG also get skinnier tyres.

  The 1.2L turbo petrol engine in the C3 makes class-leading power of 110PS and torque of 190Nm. In comparison, its potential turbo petrol rivals, like the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger, come with a smaller 1.0L turbo petrol engine, producing 100PS of power and 160Nm of torque. The C3 is also the only car in its segment to come with a 6-speed manual transmission.

• Loads Of Customisation Options

  Citroen India are talking a lot about their customisation options since they announced the C3. The C3 comes with 6 dual-tone exterior colour options along with various accessories to offer a great customisation experience.

C3 Disadvantanges

• Feels Bare Bone By Today’s Standards

  The C3 misses out on a lot of basic must-have features that one would expect from a car from the year 2022. Missing features include day/night IRVM, electric adjustment for ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, rear defogger, keyless entry and auto AC.

• No Automatic Option At Launch

  Citroen will not offer C3 with any automatic transmission option at launch. While Citroen may offer an automatic option in the future, the C3 will lose ground to the Tata Punch AMT, Nissan Magnite CVT and Renault Kiger AMT/CVT until then.

• Tiny Sales And Service Network

  Citroen have a limited sales and service network in the country as of today. This could turn out to be a massive loss for the carmaker, given that the C3’s target audience is price-conscious car buyers. We expect Citroen to work on their sales and service support inorder to become a worthy contender against the well-established giants in the market.

• Unknown Long Term Reliability

  The newly-engineered 1.2L normal petrol and turbo petrol engines will debut with the new C3. As these engines do not have a track record in our harsh conditions, it’s hard to guess the long term reliability of these petrol engines.
