Here, MEX typically identifies a Skoda car manufactured in India. The A denotes the model and body style (can vary depending on the model). The characters PL represent engine details, trim level, or other specific features. The 6th character in our example, L, indicates the month of manufacture as November. The 10th character, which is M in our example, indicates this Skoda car was manufactured in 2021. The remaining alpha-numeric digits MG123456 are a unique serial number for the specific vehicle. Thus, the Skoda vehicle with the VIN MEXAPLGA2MG123456 was manufactured in November 2021.
