In India, where adventure beckons and families come in all sizes, MPVs that can handle both passengers and their luggage are highly sought-after. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option to conquer the roads with your whole crew, here's a breakdown of the cheapest 7-seater cars in India:
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is an A-segment MUV that is offered with the option of both 5- and 7-seats. The Eeco 7-seater is available in 2 variants and their prices are as follows:
In terms of features, the Eeco 7 Seater STD variant is quite barebones as it does not offer AC or any other amenities like an infotainment system.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is offered with 2 engine options – a 1.2L normal petrol and 1.2L CNG bi-fuel. The Eeco petrol produces 73PS of power and 98Nm of torque while the Eeco CNG puts out 63PS of power and 85Nm of torque.
While the Eeco may not boast the most modern features, it prioritises practicality and fuel efficiency, which makes it a popular choice for budget-conscious car buyers and fleet operators.

The third and final MPV in this list of cheapest 7-seater cars in India is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Over the years, the Ertiga has established itself as a comfortable, reliable and feature-loaded MPV that offers ample space for 7 passengers and their luggage. Equipped with a refined petrol and CNG engine that offer good mileage, the Ertiga is worth considering if the above 2 MPVs are too small for your needs.
Although the Ertiga is offered with a 5 petrol-manual, 3 petrol-automatic, and 3 CNG-manual variants, only 3 of the petrol-manual variants make it to our list as the others are priced above Rs. 10.0 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo are worth mentioning here since they are both SUVs that offer seating for 7 passengers.
In the case of the Bolero Neo, 1 variant – the N4 (Rs. 9.90 lakh) – falls under the Rs. 10 lakh bracket, thus making its way into our list of cheapest 7-seater cars in India. The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5L diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It produces 100PS of power and 260Nm of torque, while the claimed fuel efficiency stands at 17.29kmpl.
The bigger Bolero too offers seating for 7 passengers, but only 1 variant falls under the Rs. 10.0 lakh bracket – the B4 priced at Rs. 9.90 lakh. The Bolero is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 76PS of power and 210Nm of torque. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission and offers a claimed mileage of 16.70kmpl.
Both these SUVs come with jump seats in the 3rd row. While jump seats may not be as comfortable as a forward facing 3rd row bench seat, they improve practicality as one can fold away jump seats in a jiffy to liberate more storage area in the boot.
