Documents Required For Vehicle Registration In Assam

Below mentioned documents are mandatory for registration of vehicle / transport in Assam RTO:

1. Application form for vehicle registration (Form 20)

2. Sales certificate (Form 21)

3. Roadworthiness certificate (Form 22)

4. Valid insurance certificate

5. Address proof (such as Aadhar card, passport, voter ID, etc.)

6. Identity proof (such as Aadhar card, passport, voter ID, etc.)

7. PAN card or Form 60/Form 61 (as applicable)

8. Vehicle chassis and engine number

9. Invoice or bill of purchase

10. Customs clearance certificate (for imported vehicles)

11. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the financing agency (if applicable)

After gathering the mentioned documents, you need to visit the nearest RTO office and submit all the documents along with the required fees. Once the RTO officer completes all the verification processes, you will receive your vehicle's permanent registration certificate.
