Kia unveiled their all-new B2-segment SUV, the 2025 Syros, on December 19, 2024. While Kia India are yet to reveal the variant-wise prices of the 2025 Syros, it is expected to slot in between the Sonet B2-SUV and Seltos C-SUV.
In this article, we take a look at 10 features the new Kia Syros 2025 offers over the 2024 Kia Sonet.
Kia India are capitalising on the Indian car buyers’ love for sunroof by offering the new Syros SUV with a panoramic sunroof. The dual-pane panoramic sunroof is available in 4 variants – HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus and KTX Plus (O) – of the 2025 Syros. In comparison, the Kia Sonet is only available with a single-pane sunroof. However, it is limited to a few variants equipped with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with DCT automatic transmission.
The Syros boasts sleek flush-type door handles, contributing to a more modern and aerodynamic design. The Sonet, on the other hand, retains conventional door handles.
The Syros comes equipped with larger 17-inch alloy wheels, enhancing its road presence and potentially improving handling. The Sonet offers 16-inch wheels, depending on the variant.
The Syros takes center stage with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, providing a more immersive and user-friendly experience. The Sonet offers an 8-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen, depending on the variant.

The Syros comes equipped with a more powerful audio system featuring 8 speakers, delivering a richer and more immersive listening experience compared to the Sonet's 7 speakers.
The Syros offers enhanced second-row comfort with reclining and sliding rear seats. What’s more, the 2nd row seat base also offers seat ventilation, providing a more luxurious and comfortable experience for rear passengers. These features are not available in the Sonet
The Syros is offers with a more comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, offering advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking. The Sonet, while equipped with ADAS, does not offer adaptive cruise control.
The new Kia offers an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, enhancing convenience and safety. The Sonet, on the other hand, offers a conventional handbrake.
